The importance of food goes far beyond the nutritional value that they provide to consumer, food is the pillar of a diverse society. In this conference, experts, benefactors, entrepreneurs, historians, sociologists from Italy and Israel will analyze and discuss how food shapes society and the importance of a sustainable production.

Food can bridge diversities among countries, ethnic groups, religions and more, and this conference aims to shed a light towards innovative ideas and projects that use food and cooking as a tool for inclusion.

The conference will take place at Nalaga'at, a cultural center in Jaffa that since 1999 works to include deaf, blind and deaf-blind people using arts and food.

A special lunch will follow the conference at the Nalaga'at Center.
